Asus Zenfone 6 confirmed to be arriving on May 16th
The Taiwanese company Asus has confirmed via Twitter that the Zenfone 6 is coming on the 16th of May. The theme for this launch is called “DefyOrdinary.” The event has been slated for the city of Valencia in Spain.
The company is also planning to announce other smartphones apart from the Asus Zenfone 6. Those other devices will be in the midrange categories. However, the main focus is on the flagship which is the Zenfone 6 of course.
However, looking at the image ASUS shared via social media, it shows that the device will not have a notch or punch hole screen. The device is made of metallic frame and that’s what we can tell by looking at the device image.
Other specs we can confirm from our sources include the fact that the device will be having a dual rear camera setup, a fingerprint scanner and an LED flash between the cameras.
As a top flagship, the Asus Zenfone 6 will be fuelled by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855, 64-bit Octa-Core processor. It will also boast of a massive 6GB RAM, 128GB inbuilt storage and FullHD display.
Rumours flying around has it that a 48MP camera sensor will be among the dual rear cameras. It will run the latest software in the land, Android 9.0 Pie alongside ASUS custom UI. The device will have a dual SIM slot as well as support an 18W fast charging.
For now, we don’t know for sure if it’s going to be a sliding phone or have a pop-up camera. ASUS confirmed that the upcoming event will be live streamed and the device will be made available globally.
