How to control your data using the new OFF-FACEBOOK feature
After a series of data, breach scandals has hit Facebook, the social media giant has launched a new security feature called OFF-FACEBOOK. This new feature comes with Facebook’s new policy which gives users more control over their data.
This new off-facebook feature allows you to know of and control your data which Facebook shares with other companies to fuel advertisements. The data shared on Facebook is being shared with other companies using apps like Facebook Pixel and Facebook Login.
How to use Off-Facebook feature
- Tap on the menu on the Facebook App
- Go to “setting and privacy” option and “select settings”
- Click the new option, you will find a summary of your data and tap “manage your Off-Facebook activity” option.
- Finally, you can remove the data by clicking the “Clear history” option. Click more to use this feature even more.
This Off-Facebook activity feature will tell you about the information other apps have access to and how they send it to Facebook. We just hope the feature works as Facebook says it does because mosts users have zero trusts in Facebook so this feature will help win back some of that trust and the company needs it badly.
However, this feature is currently not available to all users yet. For now, it is only available to users in Spain, Ireland and South Korea so others will have to wait for a few months before Facebook rolls it out globally.
