Lenovo, parent company of Motorola has broken a world record as the smartphone with the highest screen-to-body ratio in the world. According to Lenovo’s official information, the company’s new upper midange smartphone, the Lenovo Z5 Pro is boasts of a whopping 95.06% Screen-To-Body Ratio. What makes it possible is the fact that it is a slider phone. Just when we thought slider phone is out of fashion we now have slider phones coming back at us again. This lovely phone has a slider design which pops up to reveal a front dual-camera setup. Consequently, he front camera also has facial recognition technology. In this post TechCapon will be giving us a full review of this device.
Lenovo Z5 Pro display and design
Like I said already, the Z5 Pro has a slider design which makes it possible for the phone to have almost no bezel at all. It has joined the league of slider phones like the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 and the Honor Magic 2. The screen size of this beautiful device is 6.39-inch Super AMOLED display and has an aspect ratio and screen-to-body ratio standing at 19:5:9 and 95.06 percent, respectively. It has a resolution of Full HD+. It might also interest you to know that the device comes with Corning’s Gorilla Glass protection, though the manufacturer did not clarify which version of Gorilla Glass is applied here. Coincidentally, the Lenovo Z5 Pro has an in-display fingerprint scanner just like the recently launched OnePlus 6T. Funny how the Chinese are setting the pace in the smartphone industry for others to follow.
Lenovo Z5 Pro memory, software and processor
The device has 2 variants. The 64GB and 128GB storage variants. Both of them has the same RAM capacity of 6GB. Inasmuch as I would have loved to see Android Pie on this device. It comes with Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box, along with Lenovo’s ZUI 10 skin. The processor is what makes it a midranger and not a flagship. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 710 64-bit octa-core processor

At the back of this lovely device is a dual camera of 16-megapixel (Sony’s IMX519 sensor, f/1.8 aperture) and 24-megapixel (Sony’s IMX576 sensor, f/1.8 aperture). The rear cameras has support for AI Super Night mode and AI Super video shooting features. It also feature dual front cameras 16-megapixel (Sony’s IMX519 sensor, f/1.8 aperture) and 24-megapixel (Sony’s IMX576 sensor, f/1.8 aperture). Powering this device is a 3,350mAh battery which is just average in my own opinion. As far as the price is concerned, the 6GB RAM variant with 64GB of storage is priced at 1,998 Yuan ($287) in China while the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage model costs 2,298 Yuan ($330). The phone will hit the stores for purchase on November 11.
Lenovo Z5 special features
Consequently, this smartphone has a lot in common with the OnePlus 6T which was just launched recently. It sports an in-display fingerprint scanner, and has it’s audio fine tuned by Dolby Atmos. Just like the OnePlus 6T, the device does not include a 3.5mm headphone jack, but it does come with a Type-C USB port on the bottom.
