Flexible displays are a new technology that is beginning to pop up in smartphones, smartwatches. Never did I ever imagine that it will find its way into a female handbag. However, imagine my shock when I discovered that it is now been embedded in a handbag.
That’s right, luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has become so technologically innovative. That it has decided to play around with new tech by using the flexible screen in its female handbag lineup. Recently, the company organized its Cruise 2020 runway show in New York where prototypes of the flexible screen handbag were unveiled.
However, the screen on the handbags was used to display videos of city views. I still wonder why anyone would want to handbag with an inbuilt screen but no doubt the technology is amazing. However, this might be the future of handbags and I’m pretty sure potential owners will have to break the bank for it.
This cutting edge design handbags are going to be an extension of the smartphone, just like we now have smartwatches. Furthermore, Louis Vuitton did not confirm if it will be a real-life product that will actually be sold in the market. Or just an idea that they’re experimenting with. Notwithstanding, we’ll keep our fingers crossed as we wait to see if the product will eventually hit the market. Maybe get a fairly used version so our Nigerian ladies will also have a taste of this new tech.
