It comes in 3 variants and in this post TechCapon will be doing a full review of this device.
OnePlus 6T design and display
If there’s one thing OnePlus is really notorious at, it is designing great devices. The design of the OnePlus 6T is absolutely stunning! It really is a beauty to behold. Very slim bezels at the top and bottom and a tear-drop notch which gives it a sexy look. The tiny little notch at the top houses the selfie camera, speaker and sensors. The back of the phone is just a simple design with dual rear cameras. At 6.41-inches with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio you have tons of room to accomplish anything you want like playing games and watching videos. The display is made of Optic AMOLED and a resolution of 1080p (2340×1080) it’s just over 400 ppi. This device currently holds the record of being the first hone in the United States with in-display fingerprint scanner.
OnePlus 6T processor and camera
There’s not much difference between the OnePlus 6 and the OnePlus 6T in terms of specs. It boasts of 2.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor just like most flagships out there such as the Google Pixel 3 XL. As far as 2018 is concerned, the Snapdragon 845 is the best Qualcomm chip out there so that’s what the OnePlus 6T have. It’s powerful enough to handle any task you throw at it. The rear camera is a vertically aligned dual camera of 16-megapixel standard, 20-megapixel telephoto lens. It nicely fills a supporting roll for 2X zoom in good light and applying the portrait mode depth effect. It can record video in 4K resolution. The selfie camera is a 16-megapixel shooter. OnePlus 6T storage and battery
Before we go any further, it is important to let you know there’s no headphone jack ! The company says this measure was taken to create room for everything else. There’s a USB-C to 3.5mm jack adapter in the box, but you’ll have to buy USB-C headphones if you want to plug in directly. OnePlus will gladly sell you a pair. It comes 3 variants. The 6GB/128GB ($549, £499) variant, 8GB/128GB ($579, £529) variant and the 8GB/256GB ($629, £579) variant. It comes loaded with a larger 3700mAh battery. It doesn’t have USB-C Power Delivery or Quick Charge but if you use it’s own charger, you’ll get the best charging speed.
OnePlus 6T software, colors and features.
Without mincing words I can boldly confirm to you it comes with Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. Then, on top of that is the OnePlus skin which is called the Oxygen OS. This is very smooth and lovely. Like I said, it has no 3.5mm jack, no LED notification light but has a fast in-display fingerprint sensor. A feature which will be coming soon is Activate Google Assistant by long-pressing the power button. It comes in 2 colors. A matte Midnight Black variant and a glossy Mirror Black.
