Oppo is a brand that’s not so popular in the Global smartphone market. However, the Oppo smartphone brand is very popular in India and China. That doesn’t mean the company is not expanding to other countries. They are expanding fast and has launched in several European countries and African countries as well including Nigeria. The company is well known for making beautiful looking midrange-range devices. Now it is making high-end devices to compete with the best smartphones in the land.
The company has just launched a new high-end device called the Oppo Reno. The Oppo Reno series is a premium segment of the device which currently has 3 models. They are the Reno, Reno 10X Zoom and Reno 5G. In this post, TechCapon will be explaining the three models and what actually separates them from each other.
There’s really not much difference between the Oppo Reno 10X Zoom and Reno 5G. Both are almost identical spec-wise except the fact that the Reno 5G has the new Snapdragon X50 modem which enables it to connect to sub-6GHz 5G networks. Both the Reno 10X Zoom and the Reno 5G both have 6.6-inch FHD+OLED display with Panoramic Screen front design and almost bezel-less.
The regular Reno has a slightly smaller 6.4-inch FHD+OLED display which makes all three devices look almost identical in terms of appearance. The devices also have an under-display fingerprint scanner. In terms of storage capacity, they have 8GB RAM storage and up to 256GB inbuilt storage capacity. The similarities don’t end there, they also have the same Android 9.0 Pie OS based on Oppo’s own ColorOS and the same colour options.
However, the major difference between Oppo Reno and the other two high-end models are the battery capacity, processors and camera specs. The Oppo Reno is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710. While the other two higher-end models (Reno 10X Zoom and Reno 5G) runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. The battery capacity of the regular Oppo Reno is 3765mAh while the other two high-end models feature 4065mAh batteries. Although all three models don’t have the wireless charging feature, they feature the same 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology.
In terms of camera specs, all three models use the same 48MP Sony IMX 586 primary rear camera. The Oppo Reno has a secondary camera sensor of 5MP while the other two has 13MP and 8MP respectively. All three models have a selfie camera of 16MP with front-facing LED. The Reno starts at 449 Pounds in the UK, the Reno 10X Zoom costs 699 Pounds in the UK while the Reno 5G costs a whopping 899 Pounds in the UK.
