This super sleek $2.6 million Hypercar is the brainchild of Italian automotive design-outfit-turned-manufacturer Pininfarina. The company has revealed it’s the first car ever, the Battista. It’s here to take the shine off other supercars like Lamborghini, Bugatti, Ferrari and Mclaren. The most amazing part of this car is that it doesn’t use even a drop of fuel! pininfarina Battista is an all-electric car and it’s also the most powerful street-legal car to come out of Italy.
Considering the fact that Italy is the country where supercars are born and bred, this car is truly a beast. The Battista has some really mind-blowing specs. First, it comes with 4 electric motors. Each wheel has an electric motor of its own which pumps out 1,400kW, the equivalent of 1,900 horsepower.
The Battista is powered by a 120kWh battery which is 20kWh more than Tesla sticks in the Model S or Model X. It fires up 2,300 Nm of torque and can go from 0 to 60 miles per hour in under 2 seconds. The company also says that the car can last up to 280 miles on a single charge.
However, the craziest thing about this car is the fact that it’s not even going to be the fastest car by 2020. That’s when the company plans to release the car into the market. Other hypercar makers such as Koenigsegg and Croatian automaker Rimac is already spitting fire. They are getting ready to launch their own beasts. There are expected to be more powerful than the Battista when it finally comes out.
