Just when everyone was looking at Samsung as the established leader of the smartphone world, Huawei just sprung a big surprise. Samsung unveiled it’s foldable smartphone the Galaxy Fold with a lot of fanfare and now Huawei has unveiled its own at MWC 2019 in Barcelona. Its called the Huawei Mate X and it’s also a foldable smartphone. Both smartphones share the same technology and have a lot in common. They can be used as a tablet and both the Galaxy Fold and the Mate X has a 5G network.
The Samsung Galaxy fold and Huawei Mate X has different screen configurations. Galaxy Fold has one small screen on the outside and one big screen inside. On the other side, Mate X has one big screen which is foldable and can be used in different ways. The Samsung Fold has an option for both 4G and 5G networks and has 6 cameras.
On the other hand, Mate X has four cameras and strictly 5G. One thing is surprising though, the Galaxy fold doesn’t fold flat completely while Huawei says the Mate X folds flat. We are still learning about both devices though and will give you more details as they come out.
