Samsung wants you to know that tabs are still not old fashioned. The company has made a surprising announcement which is obviously not the flagship smartphone you guys are itching to hear about. It has unleashed its slimmest tablet ever called the Galaxy Tab S5e and according to Samsung, the “e” in the device’s name stands for “essential.” Apart from being the slimmest tab from the company, it is also the first with Bixby built-in.
It is powered with Bixby 2.0 meaning you can use the voice assistant to controlled other smart appliances supported by Bixby. Also, in terms of weight and measurements, the device comes in at only 5.1mm and 400 grams (or about 14 ounces). The Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e comes loaded with a 10-inch super AMOLED display and four AKG-tuned speakers. Resolution of the Samsung tab S5e is 2,560 x 1,600.
The company also introduced a new feature called Call & Message Continuity. This feature allows the users to make and receive their phone’s calls and texts on the tablet. It is not a high-end tab because it uses a lower Qualcomm Snapdragon 670 that’s less powerful.
Samsung S5e battery and processor
The high-end Samsung S4 tab comes with a Snapdragon 835 CPU that can handle up to 10 processes simultaneously. However, the new S5e can only manage only 2 processes simultaneously. It has a huge battery capacity of 7,040mAh which can power the device for up to 14.5 hours. It comes in silver, gold and black colors.
The price is $400 and the company says it will hit the market in the second quarter of 2019.
