The all new Xiaomi Note 6 Pro is the successor to the lovely Xiaomi Note 5 Pro and it’s finally here. The main focus about this midrange device is the fact that it packs four cameras. Dual rear cameras and dual from AI selfie shooters. The Chinese maker Xiaomi made this announcement via it’s Thailand focused Facebook page. Without wasting any time I’ll like to go through the specs.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro display
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features a 6.26-inch full-HD+IPS LCD full-screen panel with a 19:9 aspect ratio all under the protection of a 2.5D curved Corning Gorilla Glass glass. The screen space is slightly bigger because of the notch, and the resolution is now 2280×1080. I wonder when all these smartphone makers would just drop the notch thingy.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro camera and processor
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro features a 20MP f/2.0 camera plus 2MP shooter for depth sensing. The front cameras come with 4-in-1 super pixel and AI face unlock capabilities while the rear camera is a dual 12MP+5MP sensors.
Consequently, this makes the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro the first Xiaomi smartphone to feature four cameras all in one smartphone. Just below the rear camera is a round shaped fingerprint sensor for biometric security.
Consequently, there is no improvement in the processor department as the Redmi Note 6 Pro also features the same 14nm octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 coupled with Adreno 509 GPU just like the Note 5 Pro
Storage and Battery
Xiaomi only released one model which has 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. Another variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage is expected from Xiaomi in the near future. The battery capacity is 4000mAh which is considered standard as it will get through the day on a single charge.
Colors and price
The Xiaomi Note 6 Pro was only launched in Thailand. There’s no word on when it will be released into other markets. This variant comes with Black, Blue, and Rose Gold color options. The price is pegged at $215 for the 4GB/64GB variant.
