LG unveiled a rollable TV at CES 2018 and the TV is set to go on sale next year according to the company. This 65-inch OLED TV rolls up like a piece of paper. This is the first ever rollable OLED TV technology in the world. It has further proved to critics that LG is the undisputed king of TVs on the planet. The South Korean giant is also set to unveil it’s first 5G smartphone as early as February next year.
The TV has all the capabilities of a smart TV but the special thing about it is the fact that the TV is capable of rolling back into it’s base when not in use. Apart from retracting into a base when not in use, can hide part of the screen so that content shot in wider aspect ratios can be viewed without letterboxing.
The year 2019 is going to be a great year for the South Korean tech giant. Sprint and LG have already announced plans to release a 5G smartphone in the first half of the year. Not only is LG releasing a foldable TV next year, the company is secretly planning to launch a foldable smartphone next year as well.

How does it work ?
The TV is made up of a flexible OLED panel mounted on a motorized spindle. It all rolls up into this rectangular white box. You get full control of the aspect ratio, make it full screen, widescreen for movies. You can just choose to blow people away with it’s cool features. This TV will be coming in 2019 and we can’t wait for it. Also for those in third world countries like Nigeria, expect to see it in homes from 2020.
